Trip Overview Pikey Peak Trail

Named after Sherpa clan god Pikey, Pikey Peak Trail is recently opened Cultural Village Trekking in Nepal which leads us to the Pikey Peak that happens to be one of the tallest peaks in Solukhumbu Region.

Passing through several enchanting villages with eversmiling locals, being familiarize with ever smiling locals who are more than willing to greet you and getting insight into their lifestyle and culture and visiting Ancient Buddhist Monastery of Thupten Chholing are some of the mesmerizing traits of the Pikey Peak Trail while the apex of Pikey Peak itself is a hotspot for sunrise and sunset viewing and its 180 degree views of Everest Himalayan Range, Numbur Chuli, Mount Everest, Makalu and Annapurna Himalayan Ranges, Mount Kanchenjunga, Nupche Mountain, Amadablam Mountain, Khatang Mountain, Krayalung Mountain, Shisapangma Mountain Mera Peak and Thamserku. Pikey Peak Trail hosts cleansing rituals each year at its beautiful lake each year which normally falss in the month of August of English calendar.

Pikey Peak Trail initiates by flying to Phaplu and passes through Salleri, Ghunsa, Pattale and Jhapre to make it to Pikey Peak.

Day01: Arrival in Kathmandu

Day01: Arrival in Kathmandu:

Representative of ‘Adventure Himalayan Travels’ will pick you up from Tribhuvan International Airport of Kathmandu and take you to our Hotel where you will be shortly notified about your daily itinerary. Dinner will be served in the late evening.

Day02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu:

Second day of Pikey Peak Trail covers the guided tour to cultural monuments in Kathmandu that include Pashupatinath, Bouddhanath, Monkey Temple and Durbar Squares of Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur.

Day03: Fly to Phaplu Trek to Salleri:

It takes 35minutes of flight through scenic landscapes to make it to Airport at Phaplu. A 4hours long trekking from Airport should allow us to be in Salleri where we will stay overnight.

Day04: Trek to Ghunsa via Dorpu:

We will make it to pretty settlements of Dorpu before hitting village of Ghunsa which is a village of mixed races of Tamang, Magar and Sherpa that normally takes about six hours of trekking.

Day05: Trek to Pattale via Kerung:

About 8hrs of trekking through Mani walls and monasteries of Kerung will lead us to Pattale which offers the stunning views of landscapes.

Day06: Trek to Jhapre:

A six hour long trek through forest of orchids and admiring the beauty of topography of Solu Okhaldhunga will lead us to Jhapre which is rich in its monasteries and Stupas.

Day07: Trek to Pike Base Camp:

Six hours of walking through forest supporting diverse floras and faunas and through monasteries at small settlement will lead us to Pike Base Camp where we will pitch our camp overnight.

Day08: Trek to Junbesi:

Admiring the Sunrise View at Pike Peak, we will engage in about 5hrs of walking past woods and stream to arrive at Junbesi Valley.

Day09: Visit Thuptenchholing at Junbesi:

While at Junbesi, we will pay homage to Thuptenchholing Monastery where Tibetan Medicinal Therapy can be seen still in practice.

Day10: Trek to Ringmu:

About 3hrs of walking past village of Junbesi will take us to Ringmu where we will stay overnight.

Day11: Explore around Ringmu Hike to Taksindu La:

Early in the morning, we will head out to explore around Ringmu and have spectacular views of mountains and landscapes after which we will continue uphill to Taksindu La.

Day12: Trek to Phaplu:

On the 12th day of Pikey Peak Trail, we will head towards Phaplu located at 2470m altitude where we will stay overnight.

Day13: Fly back to Kathmandu:

An early 35minutes flight will lead us to Domestic Airport at Kathmandu afterwards which we will drive back to our hotel.

Day14: Explore around Thamel:

Evening is the best time to take a rickshaw ride around Thamel and visit Kathmandu Durbar Square or go shopping for the souvenirs to take back home as memoirs.

Day15: Departure:

We will assist in your last moment preparation and take you back to the Airport from where you will board a flight back to home country.
