Manakamana Temple is located 100 km west of Kathmandu atop the hill at an altitude of 1302 m above sea level and can be ingresses in mere 3 hours from Kathmandu.
‘Manakamana’ is a Sanskrit term comprised of two words- Mana and Kamana which when translated in English becomes ‘Wishes of heart’. This temple is aptly named Manakamana as wishes of many devotees have been materialized simply by worshipping Manakamana Temple. Manakamana Devi is taken as one of the incarnations of Durga Bhagwati and legend takes Manakamana as the younger sister of Goddess Kali. Manakamana Temple is crowded with devotees throughout the year and hundreds of chickens and goats are sacrificed each day in Manakamana Temple. Manakamana is popular for its oranges as well apart from its religious significance.
There are two popular ways to make it to Manakamana. We can either ascend the steep hill for about 3hours at Abukhaireni or we can take the cable car at Cheres which nestles 104km far from Kathmandu. Through Cable Car, Manakamana can be accessed in mere 10minutes that include pleasant scenes of Trishuli River. From the hilltop, we can have fascinating views of Annapurna, Himalchuli and Manaslu Mountains.

Day01: Arrival in Kathmandu:
Representative from our- ‘Adventure Himalayan Travels’ will greet you in Tribhuvan International Airport and take you to the hotel where you will be shortly explained about your trekking package. You will spend the smooth night in our hotel.
Day02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu:
Second day covers the full day excursion of the cultural heritages existing in Kathmandu Valley. The tour encompasses the Pashupatinath Temple Complex enlisted in World Heritage; The golden- spired Monkey Temple also known as Swayambhunath; The colossal Boudhanath Stupa and Durbar squares of Kathmandu, Patan (City of fine Arts) and Bhaktapur (City of Devotees).
Day03: Visit Manakamana and Gorkha Durbar:
The third day of Nepal Manakamana Tour will take us through Thankot to Kurintar which marks the base station for cable car towards Manakamana. A 10minutes ride in the cable car through the fascinating view of Trishuli River will take us to Manakamana Premises.
Later we will have an hour long drive from Cheres to visit the Gorkha Durbar.
Day04: Return to Kathmandu:
Enjoying the views of Lamjung and Ganesh Himal and Annapurna Mountain Range, we will drive back to Kathmandu which should not take more than 4hrs of driving.
Our representative will assist you in last moment preparation and will drive you back to Airport from where you will return to your beloved ones. We hope to see you again.
