Formerly known as Gyanja La Peak, Naya Kanga Expedition rises to the west of Ganja La Pass in the Langtang Region at an altitude of 5855m height with the usual route to the summit being the snowy north- east ridge.
Naya Kanga Peak Climbing is a moderately strenuous Trekking in the exotic Langtang Region which can be joined even by amateurs not having pre- climbing experience. The kaleidoscopic views of mountains in Nepal and Tibet namely Langshisa Ri(6370m), Pemthang Ri(6836m), Shisapangma(8046m), Langtang Lirung(7425m), Pemthang Kapro Ri(6830m) and Langtang II(6571m) allowed from the summit and the possibility of viewing Himalayan Wildlife makes Naya Kanga Peak expedition worth ascending.

Day01: Arrival in Kathmandu:

Upon your arrival, our representative from ‘Adventure Himalayan Travels’ will pick you up in Tribhuvan International Airport of Kathmandu and convey to our hotel where you will get brief explanation about your Naya Kanga Peak Expedition package. You will spend wonderful night in the comforting bed of our hotel.

Day02: Preparation for expedition:

 The freak street of Thamel lined with shops provide one stop solution for our shopping as almost everything required for trekking can be found here in the shops that cluster around Thamel.

Day03: Drive to Syabru Besi:

Drive of about 8-9 hours through the road that twists and turns along the steep hill will take us to Syabrubesi after covering the 117km long distance. Syabru Besi Bazaar is crowded with shops and lodges. We will stay in any one of those hotels.

Day04: Move to Lama Hotel:

The rough road branches out from Syabrubesi. The trail leaves the main road and drop down to a camping area below the town. We will cross the suspension bridge over Bhote Koshi Khola and climb to Thulo Syabru. Taking brief rest, we will cross the bridge over Langtang Khola and climb further up to set of six lodges at Changtang which is popular as Lama Hotel.

Day05: Trek to Langtang Village:

A short climb upward of the hill through the narrow trail will open wide at Langtang Village that allows the 180 degree views of enchanting Lirung peak. The trail continues further through verdant woods to arrive at the meadow where yak and the wild goats can be seen grazing. We will pitch our camp at Langtang Village overnight.
Day06: Trek to Kyanjin Gompa:

Leaving Langtang Village behind, we will climb up the hill and pass through Sindum and Yamphu. The trail crosses Laja Khola and arrives to a viewpoint that allows exotic view of Kyanjin Gompa and icefall from Lirung and Kinshung. A gentle drop will lead us to Kyanjing Gompa.

Day07: Rest Day in Kyanjin Gompa:

This day is taken as the rest day. We will explore around the Glacier Lake. Later we can have a short trek to Kyanjin Gompa which offers a close- up view of Langtang Lirung, Genjempol and Kenga Himal ranges. Cheese factory, Buddhist monastery and Tsergo Ri are other sites worthy visiting.

Day08: Trek to Base Camp of Naya Kanga Peak:

We will walk through the rocky path with arid landscapes all the way to Naya Kanga Peak where we will set camp in the Base of Naya Kanga Peak.

Day09: Trek to High Camp:

Leaving Base Camp, we will move upward to the High Camp where we will call the day off and stay overnight.

Day10-11: Climbing of Naya Kanga Peak Back to Base Camp:

It takes two days long strenuous trekking to conquer the Naya Kanga Peak and be back to Base Camp. . During this time period, you will ascend the Peak, enjoying the mountain climbing and also exploring the greatness of the Himalayas. During the trekking days, you will set up a tented camp and spend the overnight. In couple of days of time, you will scale the peak and descend down to the base camp.

Day12: Trek to Langtang Village:

Moving across the Kyanjin Gompa, we will reach to Langtang Village.

Day13: Trek to Lama Hotel:

Trek for this day passes through verdant dense woods of pine to lead to Lama Hotel.

Day14: Trek to Syabru Besi:

It takes a walk of about6hours to get back to Syabru Village which marks the end of trekking. We will call the day off by staying overnight in a hotel at Syabru Besi.

Day15: Drive back to Kathmandu:

After early breakfast, we will drive back to Kathmandu via Dhunche following the curvy bends throughout the way. You will spend night in the comforting bed of our hotel.

Day16: Free Day in Kathmandu:

It will be taken as a free day to get rest from the perilous trek. Rickshaw Ride will be fun especially in the evening.

Day17: Departure:

We will assist in your last minute packing and then our representative will leave you to Tribhuvan International Airport from where you can return back to your home or yet another destination. We hope to serve you again.
