Trip Overview Langtang Gosainkunda Trek
Langtang Gosainkunda Treks at ‘Adventure Himalayan Travels’ is 18-days long moderately strenuous Trekking package which tow us through the tender natural marvels into the very core of Langtang Valley in pristine Glacier Lake of Gosainkunda which positions itself to the north ofKathmandu. Langtang Gosainkunda Treks pursues the remote and hidden route which surpasses through the sparsely populated area.
Langtang Gosainkunda Trekscommences from the exquisite hill town of Syabrubesi and moves forth Langtang Valley which prolongs through vibrant rhododendron and conifer woods in Langtang National Park from where the trail stretches through alpine pasture land, high passes, glaciers and moraines to make it to the Gosainkunda Lake which is the definitive point of our trek. The trek perseveres by way of Lauribinayak Pass through mindboggling path all the way to Sundarijal which marks the end of Langtang Gosaikunda Trek.
A ceremony is held in Gosainkunda Lake in every full moon of Bhadra (coincides with the English month of August) during which the religious faith towards the Lake hypnotizes Shamans, Buddhist and Hindu to befall this Lake.
Langtang Gosaikunda Treks has bounty of things to offer which takes you through miscellaneous experiences of having 360 degree views of Majestic Mountains, visiting the region where 108 lakes dwells including the most revered Gosainkunda Lake where Lord Shiva himself is deemed to reside. The course progresses further through Tamang and Sherpa Villages and thus will dispense you with rare slot of acquainting with Ancient traditions of the Native ones that has remain unaltered throughout all these years. Thus Langtang Gosainkunda Trek can be taken as an amalgamation of natural and cultural Trek.

Day01: Kathmandu Arrival:
Representatives of ‘Adventure Himalayan Travels’ will pick you up from Tribhuvan International Airport of Kathmandu and take you to our Hotel where you will be shortly notified about your daily itinerary. Dinner will be served in the late evening.
Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu:
Second day covers the full day excursion of the cultural heritages existing in Kathmandu Valley. The tour encompasses the Pashupatinath Temple Complex enlisted in World Heritage; The Monkey Temple also known as Swayamvunath; The Bauddhanath Stupa and Durbar squares of Kathmandu, Patan (City of fine Arts) and Bhaktapur (City of Devotees).
Day 03: Drive to Syabru Besi:
The road winds up through series of twists and turns persistently for about 8 to 9 hours to cover 117km and go as far as Syabrubesi which is cramped with lodges and hotels. We will find the one apt for us to spend the first day of our trekking.
Day 04: Trek to Lama Hotel:
The trail departs from main road and descends to meet the suspension bridge which needs to be crossed to make it to the wooded area of Doman (1680m) where soothing songs of various birds including Lophophorus and Cookoo can be heard and stretches further up through moraines at Paira Lodge (1810m) and crosses upward to Bamboo Lodge (1960m) which eventually leads to Lama Hotel (2470m) via Rimche(2400m).
Day 05: Trek to Langtang Village:
The track leaves Lama Hotel and proceeds further up the hill through verdant forest of maples and oaks which opens up at Langtang Village (3430m) that offers 180 degree view of Lirung Mountain. The path stretches amid verdant woods of rhododendron and pine and passes through Gumanchok(2800m) and Ghora Tabela(2970m) prior to descending towards Thangshyap(3140m) which eventually leads to Langtang Village after a short climb up the hill.
Day 06: trek to Kyanjin Gompa:
On the 6th day, the trek follows the steep path uphill to pass through Sindum and Yamphu(3640m). Later we will cross Laja Khola and reach to a viewpoint from where Kyanjin Gompa and icefall from Lirung and Kinshung can be viewed. Ultimately we will lower down to Kyanjin Gompa(3870m).
Day 07: Trek back to Lama Hotel:
There are lots to explore in and around Kyanjin Gompa. We can unravel the glaciers and take a short trek to the Himalayan Yak pastures. Kyanjin Gompa gives the 360 degree views of Langtang Lirung, Genjempol and Kenga Himal ranges. Cheese factory, Buddhist monastery and Tsergo Ri (5033m) are other sites worthy visiting. Later we will travel back to Lama Hotel for night stay.
Day 08: Trek to Syabru Village:
Today’s trail pursues the route down through Rimche and Bamboo Lodge and extends further through Paira Lodge and the lively forest to head up to the Langtang Khola from where the suspension bridge needs to be crossed to visit Langtang village which further provides its way to Syabru Village(2260m).
Day09: Trek to Sing Gompa:
The journey on9th day makes its way uphill through schools and gompas which takes us to Dursagang(2660m) which takes us through the verdant oak, fir and hemlock forests to lead us to a ridge at the top of Foprang Danda(3190m). The trail further winds up through Government Agriculture Office to Sing Gompa- a Buddhist monastery located at 3330m. If time permits, we will sidewalk around Gompa to visit Yak cheese Factory where local cheeses are manufactured.
Day 10: Trek to Lauribinayak Pass:
Today we will follow the steep trail through Chalang Pati at 3650m that offers the 180 degree views of majestic Mountains of Lirung and other Tibetan Mountains and proceeds further through the blooming forest of rhododendron and pine all the way to Lauribinayak located at 3920m altitude
Day11: Trek to Gosaikunda:
The trek for 11th day commences by chasing the way proceeding through the stupa of Sakyamuni which stretches further through the path with a spectacular view of the sparkling water of Saraswati Kunda all the way through Bhairab Kunda at which point the path ascends uphill to Gosaikunda(4460m).
Day 12: Trek to Ghopte:
The trail for this day follows a steep descent from the northern edge of Gosaikunda Lake and move along three small lakes which leads to a pass at 4500m from where the rocky path descend further down the slope through National Park Post at Bhera Goth(4240m) and Phedi(3740m) and pass through Bamboo forest to Dupichaur(3630m) which eventually leads to Ghopte(3440m).
Day 13: Trek to Tharepati:
We will trek across the pine and juniper forest and then ascend the steep slope pursuing the rocky terrain for about 2 hours to arrive at Tharepati that rewards where we can unlock the natural marvels.
Day14: Trek to Gul Bhanjyang:
The 14th day of Langtang Gosainkunda Trek surpasses the wonderful woods of pine and fir to arrive at Magen Goth at 3420m altitude which is a pasture land with lush green vegetation which elongates further to Phangu before tumbling down by the way of rhododendron and fir trees that allows the spectacular views of snow capped mountains to Kutumsang(2450m) which sinks further to hit an enticing village of Gul Bhanjyang.
Day 15: Trek to Chisopani:
The path for 15th day moves along the forested ridge and escalates through Thodang Betini(2260m) and Chipling(2170m) prior to making a sharp downfall to reach Pati Bhanjyang(1860m) which is a multi- ethnic village majority of whom are Brahmin and Chhetri. The trail declines further to Chisopani at 2134m altitude which yields kaleidoscopic views of sun setting over snow clad mountains.
Day16: Trek to Sundarijal:
The trek follows through thickets of oak and rhododendron and passes across Borlang Bhanjyang(2440m) which elongates further through Army Check Post where your Shivpuri Entrance Permit is checked and moves to Mulkharka(1800m) that offers the Kathmandu at its best view prior to lowering down via woods of Sundarijal(1300m) where large dam is located that satiates the demand of water of Kathmanduites.
Day 17: Drive to Kathmandu:
Early in the morning, we will drive down 15km long road to make it unto Kathmandu.
18th day concludes the Langtang Gosainkunda Treks. Our representative will assist you in last moment preparation and will drive you back to Airport from where you will return to your beloved ones. We hope to see you again. Farewell!!!
