Day 01: Kathmandu arrival
Welcome to Nepal. You will meet our representatives at the Airport and then you will be transferred to the hotel. After the arrival, the group will be formally introduced to Guide for the activities over the next few days. One should pay attention in particular to the safety aspects of the briefing. If you have any questions or doubts about your trip, then they should be asked and clarified at this time. Overnight stay at the Hotel.
Day 02: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabru Besi (1600M)
On the second day, you will drive from Kathmandu to Syabru Besi. It will take about six to seven hours for you reach the town from the Capital City. You will head north out of Kathmandu, driving along the scenic foothills and ridgeline before reaching to Syabru Besi via Dhunche. While passing along the road along the banks of Trishuli River, you can catch a glimpse of the Ganesh Himal, terraces and green hills. Overnight stay at lodge.
Day 03: Trek from Syabru Besi to Lama Hotel (2470M)
On the third day, the trekkers will begin their trekking from Syabru Besi to Lama Hotel which takes about five and half hours. Your official trekking begins on this day as on the first part of the trail you cross Bhote Koshi and follow the Langtang River. This trail gradually ascends up to Bamboo passing through landslide. Afterwards, you trek down gently to Rimche (2400m.) through Bamboo (1960m.) which lies along the banks of Langtang Khola. You can have lunch at this place if you like. Lama Hotel is the destination for the day and you will stay overnight at a lodge.
Day 04: Trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang Village (3430M)
Trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang village via Ghora Tabela on the fourth day takes about six hours. As you continue climbing, there will be occasional glimpses of Langtang Lirung on the way. At Ghora Tabela [3000m], the trail emerges from the forest. The trail continues to climb gently and the Valley widens, passing a few temporary settlements used by the herders who bring their livestock to graze in the high pastures during the months of summer. There is a monastery in the Langtang Village which you can visit shortly before arriving at the village of Langtang, the headquarters of the Langtang National Park. Overnight stay at lodge.
Day 05: Trek from Lantang Village to Kyangin (3870M)
The next day, you will be trekking from the Langtang Village to the Kyangjin Gompa and it takes around three hours of walking on the day. The trail climbs gradually through small villages and yak pastures as the valley opens out further and the views you see along the way become even more extensive. After crossing several small streams and moraines, the trail reaches the settlement at Kyangjin. You should arrive at Kyangjin by lunch time allowing yourself time to acclimatize and explore the area. The setting of Kyangin Gompa is dramatic with snow-covered peaks surrounding you in all directions such as Langtang Lirung, Ganjala peak, Tserko Ri, Langsisa Ri and many others. Day 06: Rest in Kyangjing Gompa
On this day, you will be resting at the Kyangjin Gompa for acclimatization and excursion in and around the area. This is a day to rest and explore the area. You can visit the popular monastery in the region and the cheese factory, walk up the moraine to see the spectacular ice faces and tumbling glaciers of Langtang Lirung or ascend Kyangjin Ri (4350m.), directly behind the village, for a breathtaking panorama of the Langtang Himal. Overnight stay at lodge.
Day 07: Trek from Kyangjing Gompa to Lama Hotel
On this day, you will return from the Kyangjin Gompa and then head towards the Lama Hotel. The return trek takes about six hours. From Kyangjin, you will retrace your route, following the Langtang Khola to Langtang village and on to Ghora Tabela. After lunch, you will continue the steep descent to Lama Hotel. Stay overnight tat lodge.
Day 08: Trek from Lama Hotel to Thulo Syabru (2260M)
Trek from Lama Hotel (2470m) to Thulo Syabru takes about five hours on the day. The beginning of the trail is a gentle descent up to landslide and then goes steeply up to Thulo Syabru. While on the way, you can see red pandas, monkeys and various species of birds. Thulo Syabru is one of the wonderful villages from where you can enjoy the amazing land feature and the magnificent nature with splendid views of Ganesh Himal (7110m), Langtang Himal and other Mountain ranges. Day 09: Trek from Thulo Syabru to Sing Gompa
The destination for the ninth day of trek is Sing Gompa or Chandan Bari (3250m.) from Thulo Syabru. It takes around four and half hours of trek for you to reach the destination for the day. The trail from Thulo Syabru to Foprang Danda (3200m.) follows steep path passing through Dursagang (2660m.) along with the view of Langtang Himal, Ganesh Himal, Tibetan Mountain and oak, Hemlock, fir forests on the background. Now, the path gently ascends for some distance and then follows flat level to Sing Gompa. You can see well-managed local cheese factory and a Buddhist Monastery. If time permits, you can relax at the place which is recommended for having excursion in and around Sing Gompa. It provides panoramic views of the mountains nearby and also you can walk in and around the Yak Cheese factory. The cheese manufactured here is considered the best in Nepal. Stay overnight at lodge.
Day 10: Trek from Sing Gompa to Gosaikunda (4361M)
Trek from Sing Gompa to Gosaikunda via Lauribinayak-La Pass (3920m.) is one of the important days of the trekking itinerary. It takes around five to six hours to accomplish the trek. The first part of the trail gently ascends up to Lauribinayak. Then, the trail steeply ascends all the way to Gosaikunda, the holy and sacred destination for the Hindu pilgrims from across the world. You will follow a rugged trail with dramatic views to the west Himal Chuli (7893m), Manaslu range (8156mm), Ganesh Himal range (7406m), Tibetan peaks and Langtang Lirung. On a clear day, even the Annapurna Mountain range can be seen rising up from behind and to the north across the valley is Langtang Lirung. After passing a few huts in the high pasture of Laurebinayak, you will cross a small ridge and you will have your first views of the holy lake. There are about a dozen lakes in the Gosainkunda area, the main three being Saraswatikunda, Bhairabkunda, and Gosainkunda. According to legends, Gosainkunda was created by Lord Shiva when he pierced a glacier with his trident to obtain water to quench his thirst after having swallowed a poison that threatened to destroy the world. Day 11: Trek from Gosaikunda to Sing Gompa
Your return trip from Gosainkunda begins on this day as you will walk down from Gosaikunda to Sing Gompa (3250m.) or Chandan Bari (3250m). It will take around four and half hours to complete the trekking or walking for the day. The trail descends all the way to Sing Gompa passing Lauribanayak with magnificent mountain views. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.
Day 12: Trek from Sing Gompa to Dhunche
Trek from Sing Gompa to Dhunche on the 12th day takes around six hours. The first part of the trail descends through pine, silver oak and rhododendrons forests with occasional marijuana plants before you cross suspension bridge over the Sing Gompa stream. Now, the path stretches across a flat level and you will reach Dhunche, the district headquarters of Rasuwa, after a while. Overnight stay at a lodge.
Day 13: Drive from Dhunche to Kathmandu
On the second last day of the itinerary, you will drive from Dhunche to Kathmandu by private vehicle. You will have breakfast in the morning at the Hotel and begin the wonderful and scenic drive. It takes about five hours to reach the Capital City. It is a pleasant drive back to Kathmandu. You will be transferred to the Hotel once you reach the Capital.
Day 14: Final Departure
On the last day, you will have breakfast and then be transferred to the International Airport for your final departure. It's time to bid Nepal farewell and one realizes that we can never be intimate, only acquainted with this amazing country.
