Kali Gandaki River locally named as Krishna Gandaki River is one of the four major rivers of Nepal. Kali Gandaki River Rafting is a rafting in the plain and twined river flowing in a barren and rocky terrain towards open valley. Kali Gandaki is known for one of the world’s deepest gorge it creates while flowing down amid the grand Dhaulagiri and Annapurna Mountain Ranges. Explorer Michael Peissel covered this trail in a small hovercraft in the year 1973 and at least two other groups have rafted and kayaked in this section.

Kali Gandaki River Rafting is the best river rafting in Nepal where both amateurs and veterans will have adrenaline packed journey via turbulent rapids and sharp bend. It is a famous medium length river trip into the sparkling white water which recalls us of heven in Earth.

Kali Gandaki River Rafting at ‘Adventure Himalayan Travels’ is a mere 4- days long package which initiates by driving to Nayapul of Pokhara, a short trek from which will lead us to Modi Khola which marks the initiation of rafting in Kali Gandaki River. We will undergo through series of ups and downs and face bravely the bends before wrapping the rafting gears up at Mirme and driving back to Pokhara. 

Itinerary Outline of Kali Gandaki River Rafting:

Day01: Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul Trek to Modi Khola

Day02: Rafting to Purti Ghat

Day03: Rafting to Mirme 

Day01: Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul Trek to Modi Khola:

We need to drive for about an hour to cover 70km distance to make it to Nayapul from where trekking towards Modi Khola initiates. We will pitch our camp at the bank of Modi Khola overnight.

Day02: Rafting to Purti Ghat:

The second day rafting begins from the point which allows the spectacular views of Annapurna I and Hiunchuli. Rafting for this day will be adrenaline one that will enthrall us with the wild experience of encountering several rapid turbulent. We will camp at PurtiGhat for the night.

Day03: Rafting to Mirme:

We will proceed through the pristine village of Seti Beni all the way to Mirme enjoying the adrenaline floating through the bending and turbulent which will end our rafting. We will take a bus from Mirme and drive back to Pokhara from where you will head on to your next destination.
