Trip Overview Buddhist Tour in Nepal
Nepal Buddhist Tour at ‘Adventure Himalayan Travels’ is the 9-days long Tour which covers all prominent Buddhist sites around Kathmandu Valley and proceed to the birthplace of Gautam Buddha, the enlightened one in Lumbini.
Buddha is highly revered as the Light of Asia throughout the world who visited the earth more than 2500 yrs back as a crown prince of Ancient kingdom of Kapilvastu which currently exists in Lumbini in the family of King Suddhodhana and Queen Mayadevi. Thus Lumbini is the Must visit place for every Buddhist around the globe.
The fact that Nepal has seen religious tolerance and respect towards each others’ religion since primitive period is supported by the stupas, chaityas and monasteries that remain scattered throughout Nepal alongside the Hindu Temples.
Nepal Buddhist Tour lets you through the colossal Bouddhanath Stupa, Buddhist Monastery at Kapan, Swayambhunath Stupa which is deemed to be among the ancient stupas of the world as it was discovered somewhere around 2000yrs back and Pharping Monastery around Kathmandu Valley to World Peace Stupa in Pokhara before taking us to Lumbini where we will observe the ruins of Ancient Kapilvastu City before returning back to Kathmandu and calling Nepal Buddhist Tour off.
Day01: Arrival in Kathmandu

Day03: Visit Swayambhunath Stupa and Pharping Monastery
Day04: Drive to Pokhara Visit Tibetan Refugee Camp
Day05: Explore Pokhara

Day08: Drive or Fly back to Kathmandu
Day01: Arrival in Kathmandu:
Representative of ‘Adventure Himalayan Travels’ will pick you up from Tribhuvan International Airport of Kathmandu and take you to our Hotel where you will be shortly notified about your daily itinerary. Dinner will be served in the late evening.
Day02: Visit Bouddhanath Stupa, Kopan Monastery and Patan Durbar Square:
Early in the morning, we will begin Nepal Buddhist Tour by visiting Bouddhanath which is the largest stupa in Nepal and the most sacred Tibetan Buddhist Temple outside Tibet.
Later we will head towards Kopan Monastery which is the Tibetan Buddhist Monastery near to Bouddhanath which is popular for teaching Buddhism and meditation for Western Visitors.
Situated at the heart of Patan, Patan Durbar Square is a UNESCO enlisted World Heritage Site.
Day03: Visit Swayambhunath Stupa and Pharping Monastery:
This day we will visit Swayambhunath Stupa also known as Monkey Temple which is believed to be the World’s oldest Stupa as it dates back more than 2000yrs before heading to Pharping Monastery also known as Guru Drubney Pema Osel Ling Monastery is located atop the hill on the peaceful surrounding at the outskirts of Kathmandu
Day04: Drive to Pokhara Visit Tibetan Refugee Camp:
About 5hrs of drive through Prithvi Highway will lead us to Pokhara. In the evening, we will visit nearby Tibetan Refugee Camp.
Day05: Explore Pokhara:
After early breakfast, we will head towards World Peace Pagoda and later take a half day tour to Phewa Lake, Seti River George, Davi’s Fall, K.I. Singh Bridge and Mahendra Cave.
Day06: Drive to Lumbini:
It takes about 7hrs of drive to reach Lumbini which is the birthplace of Lord Buddha as confirmed by the Ashoka Pillar. If time permits, we will visit Lumbini Crane Sanctuary.
Day07: Explore Lumbini:
While in Lumbini, we will visit Sacred Buddha Maya Garden and various Buddhist Monasteries and temples with information on meditation and Buddha.
Day08: Drive or Fly back to Kathmandu:
About 205km of road needs to be covered to return back to Kathmandu. Alternatively you can take a flight which takes just 40minutes to land in Kathmandu.
Our representative will assist you in last moment preparation and will drive you back to Airport from where you will return to your beloved ones. We hope to see you again.
