Trip Overview Annapurna Sun Shining Trek
Annapurna Sun Shining Trek is journey to the Annapurna Region which is the best famous trekking in Nepal, second only to Everest Region. The word ‘Annapurna’ is synthesis of two words namely ‘Anna’ and ‘Purna’ which roughly translates as ‘full of grains.’ Thus Annapurna is considered goddess of fertility, harvest and agriculture and is the incarnation of Goddess Durga.
Annapurna Sun Shining Trek is 11-days long Trekking package in the realm of enchanting Annapurna belt which lets us through the thrilling sensation of rafting in Trishuli River to Pokhara. We will take an hour long bus ride to Nayapul whence our real trekking experience commences. We will pass through the sparse pine woods to Birethanti where our trekking permit and National park permit will be checked before heading through Poonhill to Ghandruk and Deurali.
Rafting in Trishuli River, watching sunshine from hotspot among tourists- Poon hill, having close-up view of sunrise in Annapurna Mountain from Ghandruk Village, passing through the verdant woods where diverse species of flora and fauna dwells and enjoying the Bird watching in the woods, crossing streams, visiting around Pokhara, boating in Phewa Lake all are integral parts of Annapurna Sun Shining Trek.

Day01: Arrival in Kathmandu:
Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be taken to our hotel by our representative. You will get a briefing about your travel itinerary afterwards which you can rest for the day.
Day02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu:
After early breakfast, we will take a full day guided tour of Kathmandu Valley whereby we will visit the UNESCO enlisted cultural heritage sites of Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Swayambhunath and Durbar Squares of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Patan. We will head to our hotel where evening dinner will be served.
Day03: Raft to Pokhara:
After early breakfast, we will take a short drive through Prithvi Highway to some point at Trishuli River that flows from Northern Nepal to the plain land of Tarai. We will have sensational rafting experience to Pokhara where we will be staying overnight in a hotel.
Day04: Move to Tikhedhunga:
With early sunshine, we will take a drive along the road with scenic Annapurna Mountain view at the backdrop to Nayapool which marks the beginning of Annapurna Sun Shining Trek. Continuing along the trail, we will arrive to Birethanti after which we will proceed along Bhurungdi Khola to the pretty small village of Tikhedhunga.
Day05: Trek to Tadapani via Ghorepani/ Poon hill:
An hour long morning climb will take us to Poon Hill located at 3110m altitude which is a famous hotspot among tourists for the enchanting view of sunshine and the kaleidoscopic views of Dhaulagiri, Tukuche, Annapurna South and Hiunchuli mountains. Making way through rhododendron forest located to the opposite of Poon hill, we will head for Tadapani.
Day06: Trek to Deurali via Ghandruk:
An early morning short trek will take us to Ghandruk. Lowering down the village through the terraced fields to Ghandruk Phedi, we will cross the suspension bridge to arrive at Landruk which is the second largest village of the area. Moving across the forest popular for bird watching, we will reach Deurali.
Day07: Move to Pokhara:
Rejoicing the scenic views of Annapurna Ranges, we will lower down to Phedi. 30minutes drive will take us to Pokhara where we will be staying in a hotel.
Day08: Sightseeing in Pokhara:
Pokhara is center of wonders. There are lots of amazing sites to visit and plenty of outdoor sports to be taken including hot air balloon and para gliding. We will begin our sightseeing by visiting Phewa Lake. Later we will explore Gupteswor Cave, David Falls, International Mountaineering Museum, Seti Gorge and K.I. Singh Bridge.
Day09: Drive to Kathmandu:
5hours long scenic drive through Prithvi Highway will take us to Kathmandu. We will stop at Malekhu to try its reputed fish.
Day10: Free Day in Kathmandu:
We will take rest from the strenuous trekking package. Evening is the perfect time to take rickshaw ride around Thamel where you can buy souvenirs to take back to your near and dear ones.
We will assist in your last minute packing and then our representative will leave you to Tribhuvan International Airport from where you can return back to your home or yet another destination. We hope to serve you again!
